call the juice company themselves and give them the UPC (code) and they can tell you exactly what's what.

I think, what's probably happened here, is the date on it is 'americanised' - and it was probably the August the 6th - April 08 - August being the eighth month 06 is probably the actual best by date and not the year- April was the date it was bottled - apple is a murky colour when mixed, if there was something wrong and there would be something SERIOUSLY wrong if it were two years out of date, you would have smelt IMMEDIATELY as you opened it. I hope your little one is okay

Hopefully you still have the bottle & your receipt as proof of when it was sold to you.
Take it to your nearest Environment Health office & have them check it out. Obviously the staff are going to agree with the manager in a case like this so thier say so counts for nothing.

Dont panic, tell the local trading standards office at once or the local council, numbers should be in the phone book, get the place closed down, health wise go to see the doctor if you are realy worried.

many cider juices are cloudy because serious cider drinkers want the pulp
your your own worst enemy.
PS it is inconceivable to imagine the jar sat through the entire 9 months 2007 without being removed had it really said 06.

You and your baby will probabl be fine, esp if it was chilled and the seal not broken.
The deli should have promptly refunded your money and/or given you an in-date bottle, no matter how much you drank.

Well tell them that you will report them to the local trading standards unless they admit due dilligence and compensate you accordingly.
At the end of the day it is unlawful to sell out of date products.
