Not really. while it does seem in line with something they could make up... I work in a hospital, and I've seen more hunters come in suffering from heart attacks than I've ever seen with accidental shootings or other hunting related injuries.
People who get no exercise any other time of the year, who eat whatever fatty foods they want, think they can get out and do all kinds of physical exertion with no ill effects. Same thing happens at the first big snowfall... with people shoveling snow after a year of no activity.
***edit, for mr D58 or whatever down there, I worked in an ER for two years... when someone comes in having chest pains, one of the first questions (if they're stable, we ask the patient, if not, we ask a family member or whoever comes in with them) is how long they'd been having pain and what they were doing when the pain began. When the person answers "Hunting," then one would naturally assume that person is a hunter.
Why don't you improve your spelling and grammar before you attack my post?

Any cold weather activity like this can be bad on your heart. I have some heart disease and all the bad habits and physical shape to go with it. I just take my time getting to and from the stand and when it comes to dragging a deer, well I have one of the younguns help and we take all the breaks we need.
We wouldn't have any further than a quarter mile in any direction for our cabin so it isn't too bad.( I also hunt the flatest closest spot to the cabin and the fellas let me get by with this instead of humping up and down the cliffs.)

Aaron 100% correct.
You basically just rephrased an old question.

Where is the statistics to support this assumption.
(I work in a hospital, and I've seen more hunters come in suffering from heart attacks than I've ever seen with accidental shootings or other hunting related injuries.)
Just because they was in camouflage, or was wearing an orange hat, makes them a hunter?
Then by the same logic, if they owns a assault rifle, their a Soldier?
Or if they work in a Hospital, it makes them a medical professional?
Any body can have a heart attack from any form of exertion, I would like to know if the medical professionals know the statistics to how many heart attacks were caused by M@sturbation.
Most True Hunters are in good shape, not the stereotyped Fat drunken Slob.
I have a Nuclear stress test every year for the last 6 years and my doctor get pissed because that silly treadmill cant stress my heart to where he wants it.
My best time on the treadmill was 21 minutes my worst was 19 minutes ( and that’s with two bad knees in support braces and on my last stress test I was 49 years old ), my calves were on fire as the speed and incline increased.
( those who have never took a stress test, need to know it’s not a normal treadmill you play on)
My Cardiologist did ask what was it going to take to stress me, I told him his redheaded nurse would be am ideal stress test.
Just because some one takes a gun to the woods, does not make them a Hunter anymore then anyone walking on to a golf course with a club, is a golfer.
Let alone any one working in a hospital, a medical professional.
That the opinion of some one who died 3 times from a heart attack and hunts year round.

Yes, looks like some animal rights freaks made this one up. The "evidence" they use is sketchy at best and is not scientifically valid. I could just as easily "prove" that eating soy burgers is deadly because I heard someone choked on one.

Who cares?
I'd rather die hunting than at work.
I've always said I wanted to leave this life doing something I enjoy. So if I croak dragging out a big buck, I will have gotten my heart's desire.

Could be influenced by PETA. I've never experienced any heart or other problems during hunting, have you?

I dont think PETA would post that, they'd raher see us al die than tell us we are going to die if we dont quit hunting. Did you know running on a treadmill also makes your heart rate go up? They had to be geniuses to figure that one out.
