if you snore heavily, you could have obstructive sleep apnea, this condition can contribute to heart disease and a host of other problems. Suggest you talk to a doctor about getting a sleep study done.

Have her go to her doctor. She sounds like she needs a machine to help her breathe at night. My bf snored worse than any noise I had ever heard. He had a sleep study done, and they said he actually stopped breathing for 45 seconds out of every minute! With the machine, he breathes more regularly and seldom snores any more. The machine makes a tiny noise, but NOTHING like the snoring! The C-PAP (continuous positive airway pressure) is placed over the nose and mouth...there are places that help fit the mask and provide the machines...and it literally stops the snoring! It is also more healthy for the person because they get a full night's sleep! If she is still on her parents' health insurance, the ins. co. will help pay for it. This is considered a health risk.

You may need to lose weight. If not, talk to your doctor. Or maybe those nose strip thingys could help. But you should talk to your doctor anyways, because snoring could mean many different things.
