This question stems from my realisation that television stations continually show gun-related violent movies that leave permanent impressions on the minds of our youths and other adults as if gun crimes are the best thing to any life.

Your realization is misguided. When I was growing up, westerns and cop shows ruled the airwaves. People were getting shot all of the time.There was very little gun violence then. It's not the fault of TV. It's the parents of these little cowardly bastards that have failed to teach their children respect. Respect for themselves and the respect for others. Also, anyone who sits there child in front of a TV for 8 to 12 hours a day is not much of a parent.

Use paint-ball. If only that way you can change the world. Television is something relate to news, commercial, goverment underlings and therefore it mean money. People like money, mostly. I said, mostly.
How to cooperate with television if still people does like to make money with the action film. Ask yourself, do you like action movie? Gun is violent, but there are many violent sadistic action related things you can consider.
Punching in your nose, or a kick in your butt can be consider as violent. Rude words, provoking, also there's elements for violents.
World is in violent, what in the world make you thinks that you can stop gun-related crime with television.
Yeah, back to the first paragraph to my answers. News, commercials... money.
Make a campaign that will give relevant thing that can be accepted by television stations. Use the goverments. To cooperate with television, it mean to use the goverments.
But unless you're have some relationship or scandal with the pope of that TV stations. It ok then.

I really don't think television can help stop the violence, nor do I believe that TV helps promote it.
TV is just TV.
I grew up watching all sorts of scary, violent shows, yet I have a conscience that tells me right from wrong.
I did not have perfect parents, but I had good-hearted parents who worked hard and did their best.
There is so much more to violence than TV...

I love watching violent movies. I dont and never will have the urge to cause gun violence. Parnts need to be responsible for what the kids watch on TV, not the networks. With all new tvs cable boxes and sattelite receivers you can lock out whatever you dont want your children to watch. Its that simple.

They don't care, because violence attracts people to watch who will buy the products they tout. It works just as well as throwing the Christians to the lions did. Corporations have about the same conscience as rattle snakes, which is none. Their "ethics" are controlled (or not) by the government, and often bought off by their lobbyists.

i think some of the soaps bring up this subject in a negative way which influences some part of society .....i think east enders is working on that just now ...they brought attention to
aids related issues , gender, to mention a few so far a lot of teenagers watch this programme and learn from it

television can't help you out at all on this gun crimes propaganda although they could probably give u a hand for advertising it which isn't up for free so u would need loads of money first.

TV news, especially local news, is driven by ratings. "If it bleeds, it leads." There's really no way to get these local news shows to change their ways, because they make their money attracting viewers to this stuff.. The only thing you can do is stop watching, and don't let young people in your control watch either. Don't bother boycotting the advertisers...that doesn't work.
