Of course you need to give influenza vaccine although she had an asthma. Well, i think you can give her a normal vaccine. But if you are not so sure or still confuse, you can ask a doctor.

Since your daughter has asthma, she should definitely get a flu shot when they become available. Flu shots are highly recommended for anyone with respiratory diseases and other chronic conditions. Also, healthcare workers, senior citizens and teachers/day care workers should also get a flu shot.

They usually become available in October. There can be shortages so get it early. A new vaccine is developed every year so last year's shot won't be of any good this year.

I would assume that she needs the normal vaccines. Her pediatrician could tell you.

And yes, a flu vaccine is a good idea. Asthma is enough for a little one to handle.

Good luck!

I assume its okay, but ask the doctor. They will have a list of immunizations to give to her. Also, the school she goes to will have the mandatory ones.

The only reason I'd think a flu shot is not okay, is if she's allergic to eggs like me. I don't know where they use the eggs, but its in there somewhere.

Im no doctor, so this is only my opinion. But i would say yes, get her a flu shot, because having the flu while you are asthmatic is HORRIBLE!!!!, I'm not too sure about the other shots, just call her pediatrician and have him tell you what shots to get her up to date on.

This is a decision to be made by the pediatrician and the parents, not by us.
