IF YOU DON"T HAVE MONEY FOR A VET YOU SHOULD NOT BE BREEDING!!!!
Money or no money this dog NEEDS to be seen by a vet asap!!! Toy breeds can develope very serious, life threatening complications during pregnacy and whelping.
Refusing to get medical assistance from a vet is considered abuse & neglect and money is not considered a good excuse.
VET NOW!!!

Chances are your dog delivered the pup in the night and has gotten too enthusiastic in eating the placenta and kept on going. In my experience, this would indicate the pup may have been stillborn. Yes, you're right there probably are more puppies in there. If she hasn't delivered the remaining puppies by the time you get this answer call a vet immediately, explain your inability to pay and try to arrange a scheduled for payment. Chihuahuas are difficult to breed and it should never be attempted by anyone who lacks experience and the money for adequate prenatal visits and other care. The loss of the puppy overnight could have been avoided had you known how to take her temperature and determine that birth was probably imminent. She should never have been left alone to deliver. Regardless of how this turns out, she needs to be spayed so this does not happen again. If you absolutely cannot find a vet who will take you immediately and allow you to pay in installments for both the emergency care and the spaying, PLEASE take her to an animal shelter, pay them what you can, and allow them to get her treatment and place her in a home with people who can afford to provide her with the necessities of life. No doubt you love your pet and this has happened because of lack of knowledge and money, but it is not fair to your little dog to put her through this and to also risk her life. Please do the right thing!!!!!

Just a head huh? Sounds like you have a poor mother. She more than likely delivery an entire puppy and started to eat it.
You don't have enough $ for a vet, yet you've got internet. I think you better either find the $ or make some sort of payment arrangements with a vet. Otherwise your dog's life could be in jeopardy!

You need to do something asap. That is terrible. If you don't have the money maybe the vet will make arrangements. If mot go give her to the humane society. They are right. If you don't have the money then she should net be having pups. Anything could happen when you own animals and if you can take care of them then you need to take her to someone who can. Please get her to the vet or Humane society now. Her life and any unborn pups that she may still have their lives are in your hands now do something about it.

You must go to the vet or the dog could die...not to mention any puppies. If there is a partial body inside the dog and she doesn't deliver it, there is a great possibility of infection or uncontrolled bleeding developing.

What!!! Is there more of the pup still inside your dog? You need to rush your girl to the vets and have her checked out now! Money or not this is not right.
No she can't retain a pup that long from a past pregnancy. This is not good at all.

I'm thinking she probably ate the rest of the puppy, the puppy could have been still born or if it was her first litter she may not have known what she was doing. or perhaps the rest of the puppy could still be inside her stuck.I would really consider taking her to the vet.

She needs to go to the vet. She may die. Not to mention the pain she must be going through.

strange... get her to vet asap.. or if you cannot afford, then go tell them you found the dog under your porch or something, give it to the humane society... they will take the dog, and find a better home for it..
your not able to care for this dog.. give it to someone who can before it dies...
