There are plenty of reputable home business such as Avon and Pampered Chef. I advise you choose a reputable long term company with low risk to you and that you have a network of friends interested in. I sold Avon and Discovery Toys when the kids were in preschool and when they went to kindergarten I cleaned houses while they were in school and took in kids after school for a few hours. The babysitting wasn't worth the aggravation, I don't advise that.

Why not start a blog that makes you money while you're at home?

You can start a review site for all the console games or ipod or the latest clothes or other trendy stuff that people like reading about.

Or you can start a site about a topic you're interested in - fly fishing, camping, sports, cooking, dating, etc.

And then post your blog to the social bookmarking sites and get some traffic.

Wash, rinse, repeat over and over again.
