hi there,
i am starting a new job and earn 14250 a year. how much tax and NI a month will i have to expect to pay? its my only job and i'm a foreigner, but from the EEC! ta!

In UK we operate something called PAYE ... this means your Employer has to deduct Tax ... how much will be show on your payslip.

When calculating Tax, it is assumed (each month) that you will earn the same each month for the rest of the year.. if you finish your Job early you will be entitled to some Tax back.

Try the Inland Revenue website, they will give you your tax bracket and the % you will be paying. It makes no difference whether you are British or not we all pay the same rate depending on earnings.
