muslim
i (shockingly) do not think its a good thing because it is just closer to the day of judgement.
the prophet pbuh taught that near the day of judgement there will be so many muslims like the foamy spray of the sea.if you step on this foam it compresses to but a few drops similarly there will be few true muslims and many muslims by name only.
its good people are finding islam and dsicovering it but its just another sign.

First of all, is it true that it is the fastest spreading religion? I am not sure that that is true.
Secondly, if it were true, by what means is it spreading? Is it spreading because it is so true and so attractive that non-Muslims rush to become Muslims? Or is a large portion of the growth in numbers due to Muslims having many children who are brought up as Muslims and have no choice?
And lastly, if some other belief system, say Hinduism or Christianity, or Atheism, were the fastiest growing one, would that be seen as more or less favourable?
I suspect that everybody prefers whatever belief system they themselves identify with, to be the fastest growing one.
Instead of bothering about this, which is a question of what other people believe, might i suggest that what is more important is not what other people, or even most people, believe, but what you and I, as individuals, do to make sure that we seek for the truth. The majority is not always right, in fact it frequently is not.

I'm sure zeus worship was the fastest growing religion at some time, that didn't make it right. I question the truth of islam being the fastest growing religion (for one thing, muslims typically lump their children, many of whom are too young to make any religious decision in their count), but even if it were, it would then be the fastest growing religion leading people away from Jesus.

Islam is indeed the fastest growing religion. I'm proud and glad that people are finding the truth in the midst of such chaos.
I'm not making this up. Besides the fact that National Geographic acknolwedged the fact that "Islam is the fastest growing religion in America" in their documentry on Muhammad(pbuh), here are several links for your satisfication:-

I am an Atheist and I don`t pay attention to religious squabbles .
They are like children trying to get the upper hand .
This argument on the existence of god, allah ,satan and hundreds of other gods has gone on for tens of thousands of years .
I can`t be bothered with fairy tales ,I live in the here and now. REALITY ,the logical choice .

So far as the fastest spreading, most new converts to Islam in the west drop Islam like it's hot after a year.

I really don't understand it, so it is difficult to form an opinion.
I would think that the religion has a lot more than a bunch of fanatics running around killing people.

I am non religious and non athiest, mankind and the combined gods of mankind look to me.
In terms of my followers, id say the the Jesus mangod is the hardest to get to grips with for the very very minimal of hope. DO ThIS DO THAT OR HELL FOR U!!
Other religions are very open in comparion and allow one to become a better person without feeling down about yourself all the time.
Personally id slaughter everyone on the planet and start again.
