Plasma TV don't need any special wiring. Their power consumption is about 300-450 Watts depending on size.

There are hair dryers and other products that consume more than that!

Ideally, you need to figure what will provide video to the TV.
I would run a recessed 120V outlet and a coax outlet right to the place where it will be wall mounted. I sell HDTV mounts and stuff; a little planning goes a long way.
I assume you mean wall mounting?
Other things to consider include an IR repeater, HD upconversion, in wall speakers/sub.
