The hospital informed me that I will have to pay out-of-pocket even if I did have insurance and then I will have to wait and see if they will send me a check in the mail for the cost. My insurance has covered everything since I found out I was pregnant...it's just weird to me how I had to come out of pocket for it instead of the hospital billing my insurance company!!!!

You'll have to ask them. About half the time, circumcisions are NOT covered, as they are a purely voluntary procedure.

Only if the procedure is determined to be medically necessary. That is normally only the case if the great circle of the foreskin is too tight around the glans or if the frenulum is too short and tears where it attaches to the foreskin or the underside of the urethra.

Voluntary circumcision for personal or religious reasons is not considered medically necessary. There is no medical necessity for routine circumcision.
