Pancake vs. Waffle?

OK....this is a question that has caused many an argument, so let's ask all of you, Who wins in the battle of Pancake vs. Waffle?? and why?

I vote waffles because I like their texture and taste a little better. Pancakes are good though too. Who really cares anyway?

Okay let's end this once and for all!! Pancakes are better then Waffles!!! There's a reason it's called the, "International house of pancakes"!! (even though they serve waffles- so that's like to votes for pancakes right there) That means that people all over the world recognize the pancake- They come in many different varieties, and different sizes- I compare pancakes to pizza & sex- Even when it's bad, it's good. The waffle on the other hand is simply a bastard child of a pancake, and a piece of toast!! That's why in order to enjoy one you basically have to drown the thing in syrup!! I like my food to melt in my mouth like blueberry pancakes.(Yum!!) If I want something hard and crunchy I'll eat a piece of toast.
It's also a class thing - resturants that serve pancakes are in upscale areas- you can only find waffle houses in ghettoes in the south, or Roscoes chicken & waffles in Los Angeles. (I challange you to find one of those in an upscale neighborhood)
So I'll enjoy my pancakes (chocolate chip ones are awesome) You waffle eaters go ahead and enjoy your bastard waffles served with a side of fried chicken!!

Pancakes these days are so blah! they are just flat pieces of dough. waffles are a little more interesting because they taste similar, but they are crunchy without syrup (which i like), plus i like the holes better. the best waffles are the ones they make at IHOP or egg platter.

interesting question. the former day morning, my spouse and that i went to our interior of sight diner the place she many times has her weekly eggs benedict. the former day, she desperate to have waffles rather. Up till the time the waitress got here, while she all of peculiar replaced her thoughts and ordered pancakes. i became bummed simply by fact i became going to snag area of the waffle for myself, and diner pancakes could properly be heavy on occasion. while they pancakes got here, i became pleasantly greatly surprised! gentle and quite tastey. My spouse have been given a pair of bites too. So, earlier the former day, my answer could have been the waffle. yet because breakfast, I dont understand now. i ought to could bypass with the pancake option!!!

I like pancakes better because they taste more solid, where the waffles taste more like air.

I think waffle eaters like waffles because they hold more syrup. Pancake eaters don't want to 'drink' syrup. lol

WAFFLE - I like mine crunchy, not soggy like pancakes. The waffle indents take in enough butter and syrup as it is, if you use it.

Pancake, they can be stuffed, rolled with a sausage in the middle, things can be thrown on top or into the batter. I also think are more solid and I find to be more filling.
