Nope. Embassies/Consulates and stuff like that are only open Monday to Friday. Just because you were stupid enough to leave it at your friend's place won't qualify for you to get a replacement passport (especially in 3-4 hours). The US can keep you waiting for 3 weeks for a replacement passport (even if it's an emergency if you lose it overseas).

Just take it as a lesson learned.

Sorry but if you can't get your passport from his house it looks like you won't be travelling tomorrow.

Is there anyone who has a key, his mum or a neighbour that can let you in?

Can you get in touch with him and ask him if you could get a locksmith round to open the door - you'd have to pay for it and new locks - depends how much you want to go away?

No. There is no such thing as a temporary passport. Why does it matter?

does your friend have a relative that might have a key, a landlord, anyone ? most people leave a key with someone especially if they go out of the country........ think hard, maybe you will remember, that he mentionned someone ?
as to get a passport? it is impossible

i doubt it under those circumstances. i know if you lose your passport while abroad you have to go to your embassy and get travel documents. ring the passport agency, but i don't hold out much hope for you, sorry.
