you know what i dont get?.... Wendys! if they say "Fresh, never frozen beef" then how do they keep the beef good and cooled over night? i just dont get it......unless they refridgerate it.... yuck

Of course they refrigerate. Would you buy unrefrigerated beef at the store. Unless of course they were butchering the cow on the premises of course.

refrigeration doesn't ruin meat on the cellular level, as freezing does.

When the liquid content of the meat forms ice crystals, the crystals demolish the beef's cellular structure; when the meat is thawed, air more easily penetrates and oxidizes the meat. This cellular damage is the reason that people with frostbite lose fingers and toes, and it's the primary reason why living things generally can't be frozen, thawed, and then brought back to life.

Chilled but never-frozen meat retains its original cellular structure, which helps to seal out air and keep it fresh.

Why would refrigeration just short of freezing be objectionable? I worked at a burger place and we got our chilled patties delivered every day from the supplier. I have no idea how long it takes from the hoof to our supplier, though the government is supposed to be pretty strict on that.
I spent eight years in public health. As with any job, there are some employees that don't care and that can be a bummer for their co-workers.
