Girls like a man with a plan, and they like a man with a spine. "Too nice" usually means too agreeable. Make decisions rather than always saying "yeah, whatever, I'm cool with that."

Depends on who told you that you were too nice. Was it the girls or the guys? Guys will tell you that when they are jealous and girls will say that when they like you as a friend and nothing more.
Why do you think you need to change? Stay as is and don't try to be something you're not. People can tell when someone is a fake.
Don't fall into that category

There is no such thing as being too nice, it is a lack of self respect that gives some people the appearance of being too nice, be nice , be nice to everyone but do not give anyone the time of day if they don't derserve your attention, don't get angry, don't argue, just avoid. As for the girls who label guys
"nice guys" they are the ones on here asking the questions like, my boyfriend cheated on me with my best friend, he treats me like crap in front of his friends, so why do I still love him. stay clear of the head cases. peace

A person can never be too nice. You can try all your life, you still will NEVER come close to the way Christ was when He walked the earth some 2000 years ago. Forget about those wacked out chicks, if they want to be used and abused, it is their own will, continue the way you are. There are man good women around who would love to have a boyfriend who is nice.

you be who you are ...not fake or phony to win anyone cause the real you always winds up showing up eventually anyhow so you lose more points for being deceitful ...i do not believe there's too many people in this world that truly hold the role of being too nice, apart from our brave soldiers...being too nice is doing things for others knowing you will get hurt in the outcome ...that really does not count if its a date you might fail to gain...its a greater sacrifice than you can spare....such as your life or your last dime or maybe some prized priceless possession...
anyhow my friend, being nice is a good thing ...trying to learn mean tricks will not only hurt others, but yourself in return...start talking to the girls ...and ask them the qualities they seek in a potential boyfriend ...i seriously doubt anyone will reply ...try being less kind
so drop the "an" off your word of mean and just be the best "me" you can possibly be ...kindness ...love... and friendliness... throw in some fun ... will get you the girl of your dreams ....best of luck to ya

Sometimes too nice is code word for doormat, and girls don't want to date guys who can't stand up for themselves. You can become a jerk or you can be who you are and find the right girl for you in time. In the long run, girls who choose jerks end up unhappy. Just show them that you can be manly and nice. Good luck.

You don't have to become mean to stop being too nice. You can still be nice. Just don't let people walk all over you. Easier said than done....

They're not telling you to be mean...they are telling you to not let them walk all over you.
Just assert yourself, do not give in to every whim of your female friends. I can't stand a man I can push around, why?
Because sometimes what I want isn't reasonable and I want my partner to help keep me in check. If he gives in to everything I want then its just to easy and the relationship loses its appeal.
