It's happened to so many people that I'm betting it's a glitch in the system. Last time I looked, mine was still there but there's no telling if it's there today or will be tomorrow. Yahoo is famous for it's glitches.
Some TC's have the badge but their categories have mysteriously vanished off their profiles! None of my categories are showing and I used to be a TC in 3 categories. Other TC's mention that 2 of their 3 categories have disappeared.
If you're still answering LOTS of questions in the category or categories where you won the TC badge, then you're probably still a TC and the orange badge is off being polished somewhere, LOL.

Mine went away to must be a glitch. Seen other glitches before tomorrow will be another day some Geek at Yahoo will say why is this setting on X and flip it to Y

(It ain't the % correct best answer I'm 57% and I seem to have lost mine.)
Whatever reason it is (a server glitch? a new criterion for being Top Contributor?), it seems to have happened between Thursday and now.
(Postscript: 3hrs later and they've all suddenly reappeared! Sounds like a glitch.)
