I suspect it will be possible, but would recommend making a phone call first.
On any case, surely Saga Insurance has an 0800 phone number, so you might as well do it by phone.

If you have the ability to service your insurance accounts online, then the procedure is relatively simple. Simply add the car that you are buying to the policy, and remove the car that you are selling. (You will have to add the new car first, as an insurance company will not maintain a policy without any cars on it.) Do not expect to pay the same insurance premium price for your new car. Different makes and models are more or less expensive to insure depending on their nature, or whatever other voodoo insurance companies factor when quoting you a price.
It is also possible to get a tentative premium quote for your new car without adding it to the policy. Your insurance company already has your driving record, and many of the better websites can quote you a relatively accurate premium based on the car you pair yourself with, and the coverage you select. I know Progressive offers all these services online, and its a fair bet many of the major companies will have similar website options. Other companies may wish you to speak with an agent to do your transactions.

Hi DC. The simple answer is yes you can. But be advised, if you get a pull before the documents come through, the police will not accept an on-line document as proof of insurance. Talk to your insurance Co.
