I think it depends on the maturity level of the 17 and 19 year old. I know a girl who married at 17 to a guy who is 10 years older than her and they have been married 18 years.

I think they should wait a little while.. maybe a few years like a little after 20? maybe around 20. But the priority is to finish college and good paying jobs as you said :)

no its not. my mom was 17 and my dad was 19 when they got married. Now my mom is a fast food restuarant manager and my dad is a police officer. they r still in love. they have two kids, 1 of them are fantastic which is ME! lol they didnt go to college but yea they have a pretty good life, going on a cruise to alaska for their 18th anniversary. But yea u can be happy or it could not work, guess u will have to see.

personally i would say no. but i would give it until they are at least 20-25 years old. 95% percent of people that are married at a young age and think they're in love, they'er marriage doesn't last for abot 3 years.

My husband and I were engaged at that age, we are divorced now and I am 25.

the younger you are the more likely your marriage wont work out..the ideal age to marry is mid to late 20s
