Okay, here's the deal. I'm currently looking at the following USED cars under $25K in order of preference:

-Acura TL 2005
I really like the Acura TLs. The only thing that's bothering me is that new generation TL models will be out fall of 2008.

- Nissan Z 2005
Looks like a nice affordable sports car.

- Mazda RX8 2005
Again a very nice affordable sports car.

I'm also looking at the NEW 2008 models of:

- Honda Accord Coupe 2008 (under $25K brand new)
Will be out next month. I saw some online pics... they have totally revamped the coupe, looks a lot like those Audi coupes. But it's an Accord... but it can be bought brand NEW whereas the TL has to be USED in the same price range.

- Benz C 300 Sport 2008 ($38K brand new out the door)
This is out of my budget. I test drove it... I just adore the new AMG inspired body style it has... especially the front of the car. I don't know if it's going to be worth it or not...

-Acura TL 2005
I used to like these a lot, but now they're a dime a dozen. It's still a good car if you don't mind getting lumped in with the "me too" crowd.

- Nissan Z 2005
A friend just bought one of these. Very cute, very sporty -- but it only seats 2, has minimal storage space, and has a very stiff ride. A fun second car to be sure but if this will be your daily driver, I would think twice.

- Mazda RX8 2005
Its gotten a lot of raves from the car magazines for its handling but I've read quite a few comments from owners who haven't been happy with the lousy fuel economy for such a small, modestly powered (for a sports car) rotary engine. It also seems to have some "quirks" to owning it. But I still think it's worth a look, especially since it seems to depreciate pretty quickly.

- Honda Accord Coupe 2008 (under $25K brand new)
Nothing wrong with it, it's a nice, safe choice, but even with the V6 it's not a real sports coupe. It'll probably be able to blow away the RX-8 in a straight line, but that's where the fun stops.

- Benz C 300 Sport 2008 ($38K brand new out the door)
I'm sure it's a nice car and all, but unless you can comfortably afford it (or at the very least put enough down so that you're never upside down in the loan), it's a surefire way to financial ruin.
