I don't remember the exact words but it's something to the effect of, "If your wife is not a virgin when you marry, take her to her father and proceed to stone her to death with the townspeople."

He who believes in me shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. I don't know the verse and don't need to. I also read, 'The Lord is my shepherd that I shall not want. I used to think, what I don't want the Lord? Then I realized that there were two statements here. The Lord is my shepherd. The second was that "I shall not want", which meant I would be provided for. As the Bible is written it is confusing, since it was written by man and not God.
If God did create us and the world, he would have no use to being an author of a book, as books did not exist at the time.
I read that we should be sacrificing lambs, but we don't do that. If you read the text it is clear that we should erect tents in the desert and give burnt offerings, but we don't. If those who believe in all of the scriptures, they would give away all that they own and travel in the deserts with no food or water, but they don't.
"God said..." they profess, but they don't do what the Bible says to do. Where is the blood of the lambs on your doors? According to the Bible you should be doing this, but you don't.
"God said treat your neighbors as you would want to be treated", but who does that? "God said, give your shirt off of your back to your brother who has none", but no one does.
"God" said a lot of things, but we have not listened. Preachers just talk about what is wrong with us, not what is right. They talk about certain people who will go to hell, but who are they to judge anyone. I though "God" said, "Vengeance is mine", therefore no one should judge another, lest you be judged. Yet preachers judge me and you in direct conflict of the scriptures.
I'm done, though I could go on and on about hypocrisy.

Ezekiel 25:6-7
‘For thus says the Lord GOD: “Because you clapped your hands, stamped your feet, and rejoiced in heart with all your disdain for the land of Israel, indeed, therefore, I will stretch out My hand against you, and give you as plunder to the nations; I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish from the countries; I will destroy you, and you shall know that I am the LORD.”

Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Colossians 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Ephesians 5:4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

So here is my favorite Bible passage:
Isaiah 53
1 Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it was the LORD's will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
It's the foundation of my belief system.
