i got my cartilage peirced about 4 months ago. it STILL HASNT HEALED!! when i take it out over night, its closed when i wake-up! and i have to repoke my earing in! it kinna hurts but i know i shouldnt be doing this everyday so i stopped. now i just sleep with it in my ear. WHEN WILL IT HEAL! answers from peeps who have cartilage pierced plzz.

OK LOOK, IVE LEFT IT IN FOUR 4 MONTHS STRAIGHT ok so thats out of the question.

i know it hurts but u gotta keep it it overnight until it heals
cartilage piercing~~keep in for 12 weeks
then constantly wear post studs after the piercing time is over for up to six months so that your pierced hole will stay the correct size. x

I would have to agree, you shouldn't take it out at night, you need to leave it in for a few months so it can heal, and make sure you clean it daily because that will help the process.

are your ears sensitive? because mines are and it took a while for it to heal also. it also helps to wear the mini hoop earrings instead of the studs. i used to wear studs and after a while i changed it to a small hoop and it definitely felt better while sleeping; it didn't hurt.
and you should definitely stop changing it and poking so much because that's bad. you should also clean your earrings (the needle and back parts) with warm salt water along with your ear hole to kill the bacteria and bad stuff before your ears really get infected (like mines did and it was gross).

why on earth are you taking it overnight? you need to leave it in, without changing it or taking it out, for about 2 months at least - if you're taking it out on a daily basis you're irritating it, which will make it painful, and it'll close up so you'll irritate it again when you try and put it back in.
basically - put the earring in, leave it in for 6 weeks without changing it, don't play with it, and keep it clean - salt water soaks are a good way to do this.
