My first surround system was actually one of those 5.1 speaker kits from Creative Labs for $300.

So it is possible to use computer speakers for your surround sound system.

Just keep in mind, computer speakers aren't designed to deliver as much sound or power as larger speakers. The system I have worked fine for a small/medium bedroom (about 10'x10') but is definitely going not going to work for a normal sized room (at least, not to fill the room...)

Hi .Yes you can .Klipsch Pro-Media speaker systems are very good and deliver plenty of sound because of their high efficiency. Prices vary up to about $380 for the top of the range. Have a look at the links below and see what you think.
