Do we really need a young'un on Yahoo answers trying to diagnose restless leg syndrome, depression, ADHD, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis? and trying to say medications aren't necessary?

Restless Leg Syndrome is not nervousness. Depression is a legitimate disorder. Ever been around an ADHD child who desperately needs Ritalin, but isn't taking it? Yes, a prescription nasal spray is needed by people who get severe allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. If you had any of these disorders, I bet you wouldn't be asking why there's a medication for them.

We may be the most over medicated people in the world as far as I'm concerned. Children had attention problems and hyper activity before there were medications to turn them into zombies. In those days they were controlled with discipline and understanding. I worked for a man who took his entire family to a doctor (for a shot) every time anyone in the family caught cold. I caught the same cold at the same time and got over it at the same time too, without a shot. The difference?
I saved money and built up natural antibodies. When children grow up being handed a medication for everything (Take this it will make you feel better, or take this it's good for you) why are we surprised when some turn to drugs? They were raised on them. (Take this it will make you feel better.) For me medication should only be used in very serious cases to sustain a good quality of life. That way, when you take something it will probably work. I bet half the people in the world are immune to the effects of aspirin or certain antibiotics because it has been over used in their lives and no longer provides the needed relief.

Yeah. Stopping suffering is kind of important, in my humble opinion.
