Is it a sin to wear Rosery beads around your neck?

i am getting to many diffrent answers I like the way they look as a necklace , but i am a musician and while on stage i think it would be refreshing to show i have a spiritual side that is the main thing , plus i feel keeping them on me will help loosing me up kinda keep god on my back so please list your sources wheather your catholic or you just think this or know it or if there is scripture that says it is inappropriate

In these days, Rosary beads are often worn for non-religious purposes as a fashion accessory or jewelry item. They are also often sold in different variations in popular jewelry and clothing stores. Such ornamental use is absolutely sacrilegious !!! especially the wearing of a rosary around the neck as a fashion accessory or with the intention of being disrespectful. The ornamental usage of the Rosary was heavily popularized by musicians and artists Madonna in the 80's and has experienced a come-back in recent years.
Wearing a rosary around your neck can be considered disrespectful and sacrilegious if you wear around your neck and do not affiliate with the Catholic Christian religion.
If you wear a Rosary around your neck and you do actually use it to pray then it is not considered sacrilegious. It is not uncommon to see Catholics wearing Rosary Beads. In fact the wearing of Rorasy bead was a common practice in the Medieval and Renaissance periods, particularly among monks and nuns.
Rosaries are also worn hanging from one's belt, particularly with some religious habits (cothing of monks and nuns). They are often also wrapped around a wrist as a bracelet or hung on the wall. Like i said above, such usage of the Rosary is not disrespectful or sacrilegious provided that the one doing so has the correct intention.
Christians feel that it is sacrilegious for a non-believer to wear a rosary around the neck. They do not understand the meaning, purpose and useage of the Rosary and, therefore, often tend to misuse it - intentionally or unintentionally.
As a Cacholic who is proud of his heritage and holy objects (such as a Rosary) I beg you to use it appropriately and with the right and holy intention! You then only stand to gain much graces from doing so!!! If not, then is is sinful/wrong and sacrilegious!!!

The Rosary, first and foremost, is a tool. It helps those who pray the Rosary to keep track of their progress as they mediate on the Gospels. That's what the Rosary; the prayer of the Gospel. As you can see, the Rosary's value as an ornament pales in comparison to it's spiritual value.
Having said that, it is okay to display the Rosary, for example: hanging it from a car's rear view mirror, or around the neck as jewelry, ONLY if the primary reason for doing so is promoting the Gospels in general and the Catholic Church specifically.

It depends.
The Rosary is not a piece of jewelry.
The Rosary is a tool that can be used by anyone in prayer.
The Rosary is rarely worn. Some religious sisters in habits wear them.
If you choose to wear a Rosary then remember to behave accordingly. Just like wearing a Cross or Crucifix, you are telling the world that you believe in and are trying to live the Gospel message.

It is not a sin to wear a Rosary around your neck . It has the potential to be sinful though if you are wearing them to appear pious or to be fashionable. BY doing so, one would be downplaying the actual meaning behind the beads. Again, this is just if you are wearing it for those reasons.
If you want to wear a Rosary around your neck because you are proud to be Catholic or wish to have them on hand to pray,no problem.

why u want to wear rosary round your neck? fashion or just to show off you re holy?? you can wear pearl beads necklace. rosary is for praying, do not misuse it.
