"Nee how" means "you good" and is how you are greeted at any time. "Neen how" is more formal. "Wa hun how" means "I am very good" or you can simply return a "nee how" with the same "nee how!". Thank you is "shie shie". Good bye is "Tzy Jien". These terms are Mandarin but are recognized by most Chinese regardless of their specific dialect.

If you thank me for this excellent lesson then I say, "Boo ku chee", you are welcome! Have fun, my friend!

Other then their rudeness both humans are partially proper. Chinese has some translations for common names. For example david is probably written as Da Wei, Benjamin is traditionally written as Ben jie ming. So sure they have got phrases which are used for names so despite the fact that they dont have your identify listed u dont need to just to find any phrase that sounds close, for illustration Ben may also be written a couple of approaches, the right way's that means is root, orginally, to stem from, however it will probably written a technique additionally thats approach stupid as in the phrase (bendan). What i might do, is ask a chinese language character for some usual names which are virtually your title and appear up the meanings and pick one that u like. This will at the least give u a common chinese language name that when used in chinese language wount sound like a foreigner gave it to you.

Good morning
zhao an (pronounced as zzao arn)

Hello
ní hao / ning hao (more formal)
which does not literally translate to hello, because there is no such word in Chinese, but is the word people use to greet others, especially people you meet for the first time.

For telephone greetings, in English we say "Hello", in Chinese we say "wei?" (pronounced whey, with a kind of question-like tone to it).

Goodbye
zhai jian (pronounced zzai jyen)

How are you?
ni hao ma?

Fine, thank you!
wo hen hao, xie xie

it depends what dialect you want... in cantonese (my language) good morning; joe-sun....goodbye (they say bye bye, but whith a chinese accent and very fast) how are you; nay ho ma....fine thank you; ho ho, dou jeah.... say the "dou" like you are from the north, trying to say door. another words, dont pronounce the R in door.
