Wigan North Western to Morecambe South Junction - 36 miles with barely a kink, OR.....
Selby Swing Bridge to just short of Ferriby (just past Brough) - over 20 miles - and so straight all the way you can practically see the curvature of the Earth ! ! !

Seems like the Guiness book of Records agrees with me - only on a map it's more than 18 miles ! ! !

The longest stretch of straight railway line in Britain is from Gilberdyke Junction to a point just east of Selby on the Leeds to Hull Line.

It is 18 miles long

The straight stretch from Tonbridge to Ashford International comes in at 40km (25 miles) on Google Earth.

The longest straight stretch of track is on the line between Redhill to Tonbridge. It's about 12 miles in length.
