...she is in so much pain. She is constantly crying and telling me to help her. I can't hold her and I keep letting her know that I'm here and that everything will be okay, but that doesn't seem to help. How can I comfort her and get her to relax. She needs to calm down so she can heal.

if you have no choice youwill have to give her the proper pain killer she may require it can be given in IV or pill form she might be out of it fora while but at least shell be out of pain...i assume she is in the hospital ? if the doctors refuse to give her a strong pain killer or not strong enough.then you might have to consult privately with other doctors so you can get her what she obviously is crying out for ...tell me how it works out

If she had serious invasive surgery, they should have given her something for the pain. Even if it tylenol with codiene it would help. If it doesn;t ease soon, I'd take her to the E.R. and demand something. No one should have to suffer needlessly, it's crap that she doesn't have anything to help. Tr giving her some ibuprofen or some other pain med before you go a-wall at the E.R. though, it'll help them understand that regular stuff just ain't workin.

let her rest and a have a sleep to reduce the pain she is experiencing... thats really the effect of the surgery... dont let her move and move and move, make her clam, take the pain reliever in the right time...

is she taking tylenol with codiene ?? my fiance was given that to take after his surgery and it only intensified his pain to the point that he passed out...she could be allergic to the meds.

Something is wrong-either there are complications or her medicine isn't strong enough. Take her to the doctor ASAP.
