I'm generally liberal on the issue.

But I also know them and have seen them in action.

If we had a 20/20 show about Homosexuality, I don't think most people wouldn't approve of what they see.

Perhaps that's what is needed in the world, a show about Homosexuality with 14 year old boys doing the "baiting" situation for 20/20.

The only problem is we are too PC to do that.

The world loves stomping on Christians and Heteros, but go after the minority and that's taboo, no matter WHAT the minority does in private.

interesting indeed...

Not even closely able to answer this adequately, nor is it any Christian's job to condemn anyone, that's God's job... But I am curious... Did Jewish law die with Jesus, or did it begin to subside prior to the crucifixion?

In regard to translations blah blah blah... Original Greek, there was no word for Homosexuality so if we're discussing new testament texts... I'm not quite sure how that's even possible. Anything can be taken out of context... The bible especially the old testament is not to be taken literally, it shows and gives support to things such as slavery... Nobody has the right to claim moral piety over another.

The Bible is not a book about sexuality, but it does talk frankly about these issues. The reason why it does is because the nations around the Israelite nation at that time were doing bad sexual practices and God was informing his people not to be like the nations round about. They were to be clean spiritually, morally, and physically. They were to be a holy nation, set aside for God's purpose and to be different from the world.

The same is today. True Christians do not do the things of the nations that are contrary to God's word. Jesus said to his disciples at John 15:19 "If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you."
And James 1:27 says: "The form of worship that is CLEAN and UNDEFILED from the standpoint of our God and Father is this:....to keep oneself WITHOUT SPOT from the world."

OK dude. You say the law died with Christ. There is only one law that died with Christ. That is the law that concerns blood sacrifices for the forgiveness of sins. Why is this so you ask? Because after Jesus died on the cross for our sins it was the blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin for one and all time. God once said that He doesn't want your burnt offerings , He wants you love/ obedience. The laws of Leviticus are still in force.

I am not sure.

Eating shellfish and pork is also an abomination, and when I refer to them most Christians say "Well Jesus did away with the old laws"

SO CHRISTIANS CANNOT CALL HOMOSEXUALITY AN ABOMINATION. Jesus put away the Old Testament. Unless they say shellfish and pork is as well, as well as a number of other things.

Christians can reference the New Testament, where only 3 or so verses cover homosexuality. But then again they don't tell their children or their friends that FORNICATION is condemned over 20 times in the New Testament. That is because it is socially acceptable. Not many Christians I know really preach to their kids about "fornication" but if their kids were homosexual they might kick them out of the house or preach to them constantly.

So basically Christians go after whatever the general culture tells them to when its the general Christian culture, not what the Bible says.

The Bible is a book of morals. And morals being very much part of sexual relations, finds natural extension to that area as well. Everything need not be explicitly stated to mean good or bad. Given that a book is a static entity, it's obviously open to interpretation by those who practice and preach it -- be it in letter or in spirit.

i dont cite "the" leviticus.. i quote from corinthians:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

And this is from the new testament.. not old! WOW!!!!

The bible has all answers to life... you should read it once in a while!

When Christ died and came to make the Old Testament laws unnecessary, He didn't do it in order to wipe out what God tells us is right and wrong. He did it because in order to go to Heaven, people had to obey the 10 Commandments and had to basically earn their way to Heaven by a righteous heart and a godly life. Christ died because God knows there is no way we can really earn our way into Heaven, and He wanted to provide a way for us to not only have a closer relationship to Him, but have a direct path to Heaven that is based upon FAITH and not on works. God doesn't say we don't have to obey what's written in the Bible anymore. Far from it. He merely provided a way for forgiveness of our sins when we DON'T obey what's written in the Bible. By the way, everyone sins, even us Christians - sometimes, our sins are even greater because they involve judgment, arrogance and the like. The Old Law doesn't just deal with homosexuality, but all manner of sexual sin such as adultery, fornication, lust, and also other sins, such as hate, greed, laziness, drunkenness, pride, etc. We all sin and all of us ought to strive to live according to the Bible - all of it. I don't mean that we need to stone people to death, because that was the punishment in those days. I mean we ought to recognize what the Bible says is wrong and try to stay away from it and recognize what the Bible says is right and try to do it.

I love you! great point! also if you follow the bible to exact then not agreeing to the president is sinful, wearing cotton blends condemn you to hell, and any physical contact with a female is considered sex unless done on accident. Also according to the bible females have no rights and should be seen and not herd... so please before you condemn homosexuals please look at these things and ask your self. Why should I believe everything a book says?

Don't get me wrong I believe god exists and Jesus died for us... but the book is corrupt

Edit:
"He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for a reason." OMG! HE KILLED THEM OFF BECAUSE THEY WHERE W-H-O-R-E-S! THE BIBLE SAYS THAT! Its just so happens a male w-h-o-r-e hit on the residents friend and found the male friend more apealing then the daughter!
