Do you want to go to Vegas and gamble your eyeballs?

You're taking a risk that is exactly the opposite of a big lottery.
There the odds are terrible, but you're only betting a dollar or a pound.
Forgetting to clean your contacts, or occasionally sleeping in ones that aren't meant for that (another responder)...
Well, the odds of getting away with it are very good, but you're betting your eyesight. Serious reactions and infections can, occasionally, leave permanent damage.

The cleaning varies somewhat with the type and brand of comtact lens, so follow the instructions you were given.
Start with clean, well-rinsed hands... (not still soapy)

If cleaning is a chore, consider throwing money at the problem and getting daily disposables, which are the healthiest of all contacts, provided you don't try and squeeze an extra day of wear out of them.

Its fine, just make sure you don't make a habit of it. Every once in a while I sleep in mine. The reason you clean them every night is to prevent eye infections.

You most likely should, but if your contacts are like mine it is fine to sleep in them. I always do and my vision hasn't gotten much worse.
