Hi

I am a 14 year-old guy and i have started eating really healthy and doing exercise lately.

But then people started to tell me i am supposed to eat as much as i can so i can get really big and tall. And i shouldnt exercise that much ... is this true.

But what i think is i should eat alot of healthy foods and meats and fish ( with some fast food cus i have too lately because im moving to new country)

So is it ok to eat fast food once in a while.
And should i exercise one day and rest the next because im 14 and i will need lots resting time to build my body.

Your height is predetermined by genetics. It can be stunted by improper diet or some illnesses but exercise will not impact your height in any way! A male will continue to grow until age 21.

Exercise will also not negatively impact your overall growth or health....on the positive side, it will keep you slim and keep your metabolism functioning properly and well. No matter what age, it is usually recommended that you work out every other day (though there are many people who are fanatics and work out daily). An every other day routine allows your muscles to rest and helps to prevent injury. If you must exercise every day, then rotate your routine so that you are doing cardio one day and weight training or toning the next.

Diet is important to maintaining health so make sure you follow the basic food groups. Fast food once in a while will not hurt but you don't want to make it a frequent thing. The main thing to remember is moderation in all things!
