because their parents brainwashed them with another book about a man who's been dead for 2000 years and whose "religion" is a hotch-potch of other, older pagan religions linked to militant Judaism, with perhaps a sprinkling of real events somewhere in the mix.

Muslims claim that the Qur'an was written by Mohammed. As a Christian, I do not believe that Mohammed was a prophet. Therefore, I do not consider the Qur'an to be scripture, because scripture comes from sources that are authorized by God.
While I have read an English translation of the Qur'an and I accept that there are some good principles in it, I do not accept the book as a holy book on the same level with the Bible, for example.

I believe I can aswer your question. I've been a christian all my life. Now why don't we believe in the Qur'an? You see every religion has its book of guidelines and information concerning their religion. In the case of the Muslims, theirs is the Qur'an. For we Christians, ours is the Bible. The bible was written by several prophets, kings and some followers of Jesus. But actually the real author of the Bible is God. (2 Peter 2:20-21 Above all you must understand that no propecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit; 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.) The bible was inspired by God himself whereas the Qur'an wasn't. This is the main reason why we christians don't believe in the Qur'an and other books of the other religions. The bible truly is God breathed. So believe in it. Not the Qur'an

Because it contradicts the Bible. For example the Qur'an says that Jesus is not the Son of God, however the Bible does. I believe the Bible. That's just one reason. There are many more.

It is not a question of not "believing in" it - after all, a lot of it is familiar material. It's just that the Qu'ran is not the Christian's holy book, and therefore does not have the same status for them as the bible does, particularly the new testament.

Because it teaches religion and forces religion on the individuals but the Bible teaches God and talks about Christ who is Life. The Bible teaches us that God has given us our free will to choose to worship Him or not but then there is a judgement. The Qur'an forces the teaching on it's followers.

The Quran is quite similar to the Bible, with basically the same story. The only thing about the Quran that I don't agree with, is that Christ is not considered the Messiah, and Jews are not the chosen ones. These are things I believe, and so I can't really put stock in the theology aspect of the Quran.

It was plagiarized from the Judeo-Christian religion.Who will believe a warlord when he says he flew by night to Jerusalem? Who will believe anybody when they do not honor their treaties? There is no honor among thieves.Mohamed makes a complete liar out of Jesus.Jesus and Mohamed cannot go together.
Atheists take advantage of the disputes saying religion causes problem and therefore should be banned.

Well Christians believe in the New covenant particularly as it is presented in the New Testiment of the Bible.
To me, the Qur'an is the Muslim version of the Old Testiment and does not show the evolution of God's relationship with man into the New Covenant.
Both the Qur'an and the Old Testiment are records of our relationship to God in terms of the old law. Which to Christians is the foundation of the relationship to God but not the fofillment of the promise of Salvation.

The same reason I don't believe in the Book of Mormon...it is not inspired of God. The Old Testament was written by God's Prophets and Holy Men of old. The New Testament was written by men who intimately knew Jesus Christ and spread the good news of His death, burial and Resurrection. The Qur'an was written by men who brought terror and bloodshed upon the world in the 7th Century AD.

It does the most demonic thing it can do: It attempts to explain that Jesus is not the Son of God, and that He did not provide a covering for sin.
If a person does not believe what Jesus said about himself, then they are NOT one of God's people.
It's just like Satan to lie about something so important. The Muslims, last time I checked, do have not have anything to cover them for sin. They also have a problem with the Holy Spirit, and referring to God the Father; saying that God cannot have a 'son'. That is why I recognize the Koran as the demon inspired piece of trash that it really is.
Because of these reasons and according to the Bible, the Koran is antichrist (John's definition). And I recognize it to be the God damned piece of Satan that it really really is!
I am totally serious.
