I have one dislike about it : If we die and we find out that we were right the whole time, we don't get to rub it in thier faces.

But do you seriously dislike any aspect about atheism?

Atheism, in and of itself, means no belief in deity. Period. I can't say I dislike anything about "atheism".

But I am bothered by certain "atheists" who assume that since I don't believe in deity, that I have to go along with all the other things they do (hating all forms of symbolism and ceremony, throwing out non-theistic religions, believing that science is the one and only way to get "valid" answers for one self, voting Democrat, etc.)

Atheists won't have access to the beer volcanoes and to the stripper factories promised by the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Just for these, atheism sucks.

umm, other than being part of the minority and getting shunned by everyone in my community I'm pretty happy with being an athiest because I can say mean things to people with closed minds because "they expect that from an athiest". Seriously, I'm no more evil than anyone else, but somehow, I find that the majority of athiests compared to the majority of Christians have a lot firmer grasp on reality.

i was going to say no that it's just the lack of belief in god

but yeah you have the point. I won't get to savour the brief satisfication of being right. I wouldn't rub believers faces in it though

I miss the socialization opportunities of a church... a built-in group of people who believe what you do and are willing to hang out whenever you want. Atheists are notorious for not wanting to congregate and for arguing about the inconsequential.

There isn't anything I don't like about being an atheist. I get to think and believe what I want to and there's no church to tell me otherwise.

I dislike all the crap I get from zealots forcing their religion down my throat.

Yes. It's WAY to hard for everybody else to spell. I swear, there must be 50 different variations I've seen.

ya, gotta admit, I think it is awesome. Much better than the alternative. But to agree with the guy above me, it does kinda suck we don't have a "church" type thing to socialize at that everyone goes to once a week.
