The way you worded your question is the perfect example why a lot of people are annoyed by Chistians.
OK, you had a question, fine, nothing wrong with that, but why do you feel obligated to announce that your are "a proud Christian?"
Do you think you get more respect? Do you want a medal for this?
Who, the hell, cares if you are a Christian or not?

Jews believe that Jesus was a Jewish teacher/prophet/rabbi, we just don't believe that he is the messiah. Jesus does not fulfill all the "requirements" to be the messiah according to jewish law. We're still waiting
Also... Jews did not kill Jesus, the Romans killed Jesus. Jews did not use crucifixtion- Roman did and did it to more than a quarter million Jews during that time.
And.... some of you have said that some Jews DO believe in Jesus. Those people are called Christians!

Why would a group of people have to believe in someone just because they are of the same race? Religious Jews don't believe Jesus was the son of god. It really isn't that hard to understand.

The most important is that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Mother of God was a Judaism believer. Jesus is the only One Who could fulfill all the rules of the Old Testament. To believe in Jesus means to follow His teaching and commandments. Jesus was sent to the Jews first of all, but the Judaism believers don't accept Him till now. What the reasons are I don't know. They don't want to speak to me. Many of the Jews accepted Jesus, they are our brothers and many of them will accept Him. It is written that Jesus is a single way to the Heavenly Father and no one can come to the Father otherwise.

Jesus was jewish, but the Jews do believe that Christ existed. They just don't believe that He was the true Messiah they have been told to come. They are still waiting.

Was there Christianity before Christ? How could Christ be born a Christian? Obviously he was born Jewish, he probably identified himself as Jewish till the bitter end. But those in power didn't like all that "I am the way" stuff. They said he was blasphemous. He said nuh uh. And they killed him. People had loved him, saw the good he did, and slowly but surely turned away from their offending Judaic priests who martyred him and worshiped Christs way instead.

hah.. okay...
Jesus was born into Jewish family. yes, he was Jewish.
Christianity didn't even start until after Jesus' death. there was a split between the Jews- those who believe in Jesus and those who did not. those who did became the early Christians. those who did not remained as Jews. however, the early Christians WERE Jewish before they were Christian.

Jesus was a Jew as is informed by him. But Jews did not believe him because they were expecting a person with strength and wonderful miracles giving them kingdom over the world. Jesus did not satify their wishes as they thought so they found that this person is a wrong claimer as messiah.

Think about it this way. For a thousand years, you followed a strict set of rules that came directly from God. Then a guy shows up claiming to be God/God's Son and tells you that you can throw those old rules out the window. I would be more than a little hesitant to abandon the old rules (worried about God's wrath and all - he could be a mean mother f****** when he wanted to be) to follow the new guy who says it's as easy as just believing in me. I could see how the old guard might say, thanks, but we'll stick to the old plan (and then pass those traditions on to their children). Can you blame them?

Yes Jesus was Jewish. From what I understand they do not think that he is the King that was prophesied in the OT but you would have to ask someone of the Jewish faith to find out for sure.
