well if it's a myth or it's true I don't know, but woth me it was true, I had slight heartburn with my 1st and he had hair, but not too much, with my 2nd I had terrible heartburn all the time, and my baby was born with tons of hair.

Just like with anything else there is always a chance of it being true thats why so many people believe old wives tales. But with me it was just a myth! I had really bad heartburn with all my babies and so far they have all been born bald as bald can be :)

that is totally a myth. i have had really bad heartburn with every pregnancy and i would say they all had an average amount of hair. the heartburn is caused from different horomones in your body because of pregnancy. then towards the end of the pregnancy it usually gets worse because of your uterus pushing up so much on your stomach.

This was true for me...
Well I didn't have alot of heartburn just a bit and he was born with a full head of white blonde hair.

My friend had severe heartburn and he son too was born with lots of hair.

Myth...

All three of my kids had a full head of thick dark hair. I never had any morning sickness with any of them. No heartburn, No insane cravings (just watermelon).

It just means that with the growing uterus it's pushing the stomach up and the flap to keep stomach juices down isn't closing properly so you get heartburn.

I don't know if it is always true but it certianly was with me and my sister. With our first children we had no heartburn at all, with our second and third pregnancy we had alot and our kids came out with lots and lots of hair, this pregancy for me is even worse so we will see in a few months for sure.

Even tho I have stood by my reasoning of those pregnancy myths are absolutely bogus...with my 2nd daughter I had severe heart burn and she sure enough cam eout with a head full of hair versus my first daughter who I also had severe heartburn with and came out as bald as could be and the little hair she did have looked like a Homer Simpson comb over lol....I loved it!

I heard a myth that if you cut your hair while pregnant, your baby will be bald (very little hair) but if you don't cut it they will have lots of hair!

I didn't have any heartburn with first and she had heaps of hair (and I cut my hair while pregnant!) and 2nd baby had mild heartburn and he had hardly any hair for the first 10mths or so (and I also cut mine when I was pregnant)

Who knows with these myths! There fun to experiment with though!

it's an old wives tale BUT, i have 5 children and the youngest is the only one that i had EXTREME heartburn with AND he's the only one that was born with ANY hair (not a ton of hair but a bit)... BUT, he was also the only baby that had SEVERE acid reflux and now takes two prescriptions every day (he's 4 months old)....

Myth. I have GERD and corrosive esophagitis, a lot more than heartburn, and a slew of other things. My daughter came out almost completely bald.
