If you're asking if God is necessary for purpose, the answer is yes. Here's what atheist Bertrand Russell said about it:

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (20th century philosopher, mathematician and Nobel Laureate)

Purpose answers questions such as, what was I put here on earth to do? Obviously that requires a God.

You're actually referring to those things in life that make us feel good and not about purpose. If we were living our lives for a real purpose we would feel good about it so we fool ourselves with the incorrect logic that if we feel good about something, it must be our purpose.

Well for one thing there's that third party. After the first two parties die down, it gives you something to look forward to.

I think that we must humble ourselves and acknowledge that we owe our lives to God, because everything we are and have comes from God and belongs to God. God bless you!
