A lot of people have diffrent taste when it comes to cheese and fruit platter. Some people prefer a sweet and tangy bite combo. With Grapes, you have a good choice with muenster cheese, Colby Jack, or Pepper Jack cheese, you can also do some bread, french or sourdough works best.

I like the tangy taste of the Greek cheese, FETA with grapes. Also, English Stilton or any of the "blue-veined" cheeses are a nice "sour" contrast with the sweetness of good grapes. And Camembert and Brie are also good.
For a nice treat, try putting the rinsed grapes into the freezer for a few hours before serving--they'll actually pop in your mouth when you eat them! Fun for all.
Rats, now I'm hungry again. LOL
Enjoy!

What kind of cheese do you usually eat with grapes?
I don't think cheddar works but...swiss? Camembert? Brie?

It depends on what kind of grapes. I'm a wine person and go through this a lot. If they are just your average storebought red or green gapes then go with something lite. And actually yes, smoked gouda would be ok depending on the ripeness of the grapes.

If the grapes are sweet I like a cheese with a little bite like gorgonzola. If the grapes are a bit tart I like something smooth like brie. One of my favorite lunches is fruit like grapes or apples, black forest ham (it's drier than say ham lunchmeat), sliced havarti cheese, and Stonedwheat crackers. Yummy!
