Salvation Army 'soldiers' are nice, do nice things, feed the hungry, clothe the poor, shelter the homeless. Not contributing to them makes one feel a little chagrined, especially around Christmastime. Perhaps they are the one and true spirit of christianity, and the rest are just wannabes.
I don't recall mormons maintaining a soup kitchen or providing homeless shelter in their chapels, but I have seen members give out 'Happy Meals" to street bums from their Hummers. They donate white shirts to Nigerians so they can 'look nice for job interviews'.
They're sooo nice, but clueless.

The Mormons *are* nice people, and I've yet to meet one I haven't liked.
Case in point: As a teen runaway I found myself in Green River, Utah. Filthy, hungry, and tired, I went searching for a hot shower and a decent meal. I ended up at the Book-cliff Motel, and asked if I might rent a room. The manager at the time told me no, I couldn't rent one. He said I looked like I desperately needed some serious r&r, and offered me a room for a week, free of charge. He was giving me a chance to get off the road, to recuperate.
In that week's time, I was given 3 meals a day, access to the laundry room, and use of the pool. One of the maids lent me her suit.
When I was ready to leave, to go on my way yet again, I learned that the employees had taken up a collection to buy me a bus ticket home. They included some spending money, and I caught a ride out at the Trailways station.
I left Utah with fond memories of the friends I had made. They offered unfathomable help to a total stranger and asked for nothing in return.
They truly are good people. If it matters, they knew I am an atheist, and they didn't care.
***To actually answer your question, it's impossible to know who's religion is right, or if, indeed, any is. This is a matter of faith, of what one believes. Only upon our deaths will we actually have the answer.

Charles Manson was a very nice guy. So was Ted Bundy. So were the leaders of hundreds of cults.
That said, I still know that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are members of the only true and living church of God on the face of the Earth. They aren't perfect but they are generally good and decent people. Being nice doesn't prove that to me, The Spirit of God does.
Whew...that was a nice little rant! lol...being nice is important, though - just not the most important thing at all.

This is a hard question because the answer is both yes and no.
Yes because it might be their religion that made them nice. The religion may have taught them the right way to live.
No because there are nice people in every religion. There are nice people that have no religion.
It is considered wrong to pick on nice people.

I don't think that a person's nature really has anything to do with their religion. Saying that all Mormons are nice is nothing but a stereotype.

That's a fair question...because there are people who are wonderful and nice in every religion! We are taught to be loving and kind to all of God's children, but that doesn't necessarily mean our religion is right. I know it is right because I have asked my Heavenly Father in prayer if it is and have received countless answers and affirmations. That's why I know it is right, not because the members are nice.

I'm a mormon, and we don't want you to join because we're nice. I didn't join because everyone was so nice. It's about the feelings you get when you do what the scriptures say and you pray about it.
Why should being nice have any thing to do with it at all? We are nice simply because we don't believe in being mean, what's so bad about that?

2 Timothy 3
1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Well, I am Mormon, and I am usually nice!
But, in your case I;ll make an exception!
I find all of your questions, extremely funny, amusing, laughable, and downright pathetic! Your existence must be truly horrible for you to be so miserable, and mean!
And yes, My religion is right!
By the way! Do you have one?
Just curious!

Conversely, if the LDS church is wrong, if it is as evil as so many say, then why are Mormons so nice?
