I met this girl about 3 years ago. We just recently started talking.. she seems very nice but kinda quiet. Should I invite her to dinner or would this be weird since I hardly know her?

Something more casual than dinner, such as coffee or drinks would be more appropriate in this situation. It would give you an opportunity to get to know each other a little better before asking her to dinner (which is considered more of a date).

Lunch is less intimidating than dinner- or pick some kind of casual activity outdoors so it's more fun and less formal!

Go up to her and say...
"Oh! you! ear! nowa!"
"I want you to eat dinner wi-me and your gonna do exactly what I say and when I say it, for I am a man and you are a woman"
"Remember girly, man can smack thier wives harder than wives can smack thier husbands, and if you done-hav dinna wi-me, I'll have ta bash you aroun'!"
and then give her a smack in the face!

start with a movie because then it isn't awkward if you don't talk but there still are chances to talk
