i seriously need (okay maybe I don't need to, i desperately want to) lose 4 inches off my waist. i want to have an hourglass figure with a toned tummy. my stomach is a little 2 fat. will a corset help me reach my goal? i need to lose 4 inches off my waist (only my waist though!!).
save the diet tips, im already on one and i am exercising just not as much as i should. i have lost 13 pounds and my measurements are 36-34-38 (bust, waist, and hips 4 the clueless ones). i want my measurements 2 be 36-30-38 for that perfect hourglass figure i always wanted 2 have.
what are some good exercises to shed inches off the waist only? also some good exercises to make my legs thicker and my thighs and butt toned. but does anyone really know if a corset will give me the results im looking 4 permanetly? i really want 2 do this.
please save the stupid answers. i need serious answers only!! thanks!!!!

I saw a special on corsets on TV one time.
According to the program, yes, it can permanently alter your waist - but you need to wear it constantly for a very long time for it to take affect. As in, wear it even as you sleep. Eventually you will be able to take it off, and your shape will remain the same.
The corset actually alters the way your insides are positioned, which is why it will remain the same way.
Don't worry, the modern ones won't cause any harm, especially if you're only trying to reduce your waist by four inches. (The old, original ones like in Pirates of the Caribbean could cause internal damage, though.)
My opinion to be careful not to pull it too tight when you first start wearing it, get used to it before pulling it down to the way you want it to be.

Okay you can train your body with a corset, and you can get some long lasting results. However to affect a permanent change you have to do it every single day all day long, and never gain any weight. Very extremely uncomfortable, althought some people get off on it. I think you would find that wearing a corset to narrow your waist 4 inches would take years to do, and would be VERY expensive. Corsets of this type are special orders.

this is a serious answer, if you want to wear a corset all the time, you can make your waist smaller, however the corset will shift weight above or below your waist, it doesn't remove any inches from your body, unless you want to get liposuction. I have heard and it has been documented that if you get the wrapping process done, it will actually lessen the inches. A spa could help you with that. Best of Luck to you.

Oooo, no corset! If you actually wore one long enough to change your body permanently, it would hurt you. It's OK to look good for a party, but as soon as you're back to your car, take it off and throw it in the back.
You need to move and breathe. If you bind up your belly muscles, they will get less firm and toned.
Good for you, exercising and losing 13 pounds. That's great.
There is no way to lose weight in only one place. It comes off all over. If you do crunches, etc., that will help make your belly more firm and flat. But you can't lose fat just in one place except by liposuction surgery.
Be healthy, and look for clothing styles that help you look the way you want. You can research a lot of tips on the internet for getting an hourglass figure, but all of the reputable sources -- the ones that know about the body -- will tell you the same thing. Spot reduction is impossible, you just have to work with the shape you have.
Also, those slimming garments that fit tight and hold you in can cut off your blood circulation in your legs and give you varacose veins! NOT sexy. Be comfortable, and good luck.

Nooo! No corsets! bad!
Those things not only mold your figure on the outside, but on the inside as well. You could suffer damage to internal organs. Don't do it.
Remember this, honey: celebrities are not good models to have when trying to find a "perfect" body. In the real world: women have curves...all over.
It's a scientific fact that a healthy female should have 40% more body fat than a male. We aren't meant to have tiny waists and flat stomachs. It's not healthy.
If you want good exercise, try swimming. It exercises all the joints and can be quite enjoyable too.

first thing is to eat a very large breakfast and eat less and less throughout the day - try to adjust your eating so that you're quite a bit hungry when you go to bed. Fast after about 7pm. - then eat a huge break-fast in the morning then eat a few meals through the day each being about no larger than the size of your fist - eat less fat and stop drinking any sodas but most importantly start going to bed hungry it will switch your body metabolism into fat burning

a corset will certainly give you an hourglass figure, but the minute you take it off, the figure will go with it.
