Who are we to decide what is good and what is a sin? in some cultures it is good to sacrifice other people in others it's a sin. Wasn't there incest in the bible too? Don't we consider incest a sin today? Who are we to decide who is worthy enough or "good" enough to enter the kingdom of heaven? Isn't it out of our hands? Most religions only succeeds in separating people from people. Don't let not going to church bother you, some people are warped, just thank the lord you aren't one of them. You know your going to heaven right? So what does it matter if they know or not? I'll see you there!

I did not go to Church either when I first came to Christ. Yet I belonged to Him. However, I am so happy that I started to because I have become stronger in Him because of it. As for the Bible, everytime I read it, I am so happy that I have one. I mean, think about it. God said that He IS the Word. He is what He says, and the Bible tells us a lot of what He says...and we have the privilege of learning so much about Him and the way He sees things (i.e. truth) by reading it. It brings us closer to God.
And Yes! Jesus did die for our sins. He died so that after we are really sorry for doing the things that hurt God, destroy us, and that separate us from Him (sin), His blood will wash them away so that we be close to Him. I mean, think about it this way. If someone you love hurt you by, say, stealing from you for example. If the person apologized and was truly sorry for what he/she did, you would (should) forgive the person. However, if that same person did it again and then again and kept saying forgive me each time, soon you're just going to tell the person, "You must be truly sorry." And being sorry for what we do comes from understanding what sin does to us and how much God hates it. And what is sin? God says it's when we disobey Him because He has the best in mind for us. And He said that pre-marital sex is wrong and that fornicators will not enter His kingdom. Why? Because He told us that it is wrong. Whether we understand why it is wrong at the time or not is irrelevant. Come on. He's God! He knows what's best and good when we don't. So yeah, when we sin, He still loves us, but He said that we must repent of our sins so that Christ will forgive us. Repent means be sorry for and turn away from our sins. Remember the adulteress who got caught and was going to be stoned? Christ told her that
(1)He did not condemn her (2) that her sins are forgiven (3) to go and sin No More. Just pray, He's listening to you always. Just ask Him to help you to be sensitive to His will and to His way. I will pray for you too josh c.

The Bible says even the demons believe and tremble. My assessment is that there has been no regenerate heart. Many today fail to teach repentance. Since you don't read the Bible you may not know the story of John the Baptist. He came before Christ and taught people that they must repent ( ask forgiveness for and turn away from their sins) Your sins will be forgiven but they must be repented of. When you have a true conversion you will be drawn to the Word of God. You will become a new creature. Believing is only part you have to repent of your sins and turn from them to be saved. I highly suggest that you pick up your Bible and read it and I pray that the Holy Spirit will hold your thoughts captive and open your eyes. God bless!!

If you don't follow the laws of physics there are consequences. You are forgiven, but you still get the consquences. It's that simple. You don't want your emotions to lead you, because they will control your life. What Christ taught is the rules for you to control your mind and your emotions. We have to study our whole lives, it's like not putting gas in the car every week. If you don't you will stall, forgiven or not. When you have gotten the spirit, then it will lead you where you need to go. If you see yourself breaking scriptures or common sense, for that matter, you must not be following the spirit somehow. It's really a joint effort. Salvation is not saying God says you can be irresponsible. You work with him and he works with you, but if you go your own way you accept the consequences. I'm not sure anyone can tell you what the spirit tells you. You aren't following them, but the spirit, but are you? No one can judge but you and the spirit. I'll bet you didn't get the spirit in church, they didn't know how to teach it, and they may not have had it, to speak of. If you know you are out of step you have to get some help to fix it. If the rest is getting you confused, keep you mind on our perfector. Read what Christ said in red. He summarized it all. Even Paul said not to be a follower of him or Barnabas, but of Christ. How simple is that? And that's hard enough. Try just not judging and see what happens. Do it nearly perfectly. The way to do that is to drop negative, judgmental words. That should give you enough spirit to be able to do the other things you need to do. You really can't do them without it. You'll want to do it. I'm sorry it's so wordy and still so partial.

This is not true. However, the Bible says to grow in the Word and to gather in fellowship, to worship God. If you repent, you will be forgiven. Jesus Christ was our atonement for our sin debt. We still should seek sanctification daily and repentance of sins. we should grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. It seems you need to be in a Bible Study and a healthy well balanced church. Blessings.

The only requirement is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, to live in his teachings. He said, "Love your God with all your heart, soul, and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself." He also said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me."
The reason we Christians go to church is not to pay tithes to the priest or minister. It's to be with people who believe as we do--other Christians. When Christianity first came about going to church could get you killed. Early Christians considered it a privilege and honorable. Many were martyred just for going to church!! That's why we go to honor our Lord and those who died in his name.
Lastly, if you don't read the Bible how do you know Jesus? By hearsay?

Nobody said you have to go to church. You must be hanging around radicals again. As long as you praise Him and accept Him as your Lord you'll be fine. Live a sin free life - that's all he wants.
Premarital sex IS a sin - A lot of people claim to be Christian but run around with the whole neighborhood and that is terrible. It's also a reason people won't accept Jesus because they're too consumed with worldy things. But if you confess your sin and ask for forgivness it will be granted you just can't abuse His forgiveness. He did die for your sins...but that doesn't mean you can hit up the brothel every weekend and not be punshined for it.

Most Christians I know have never said any such thing to anyone, and,I'm one Christian who's never said such a thing.
It's a matter of the way in which Christians, whether you know them or not, have shared their personal faith & testimony with you.Since you say that you don't attend church, start going to a local Bible believing church on your own. Don't wait for anyone to invite you!
If you don't have your own Bible, you can buy one anywhere, at a local bookstore,or on web sites like barnesandnoble.com and amazon.com. You can also get one from your local library. The Bible comes in many versions, just get the one that's easiest for you to read & understand.

The only way you can know God is through His spoken and written Word - the Holy Bible. Reading and hearing His Word are crucial to an ongoing relationship with Him. Go to church and read your Bible. ATEST WILL BE GIVEN!

Hey!!! Not all Christians say that. But I do believe that God wants us to go to church and read the scriptures for our own good so that we can feel close to him on our own and so we can fellowship with other ppl who share our beliefs!!! Christ did die for your sins but we stillhave to repent and we have to do it everyday!!! We all sin everysingle day so we all need to repent and forsake the sin every day. Or atleast try not to do it again as hard as humanly possible.
