You burn calories without doing anything, because your body burns them to survive. Use a calorie calculator to determine how many you burn roughly bases on height, weight, age etc., you can find one using a search engine. The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn daily, a reason weight lifting is an important part to losing weight. I dont think you should be trying to burn that many calories a day, just figure out how many you burn using the calorie calculator, exercise daily, and then eat less than you burn. You dont have to spend your whole day working out to lose weight.

Yes your body does burn calories naturally, even as you sleep. But to burn 3700 calories a day is a little extreme. You would be losing a pound a day since 1lb is 3500 cals. I guess if you do high impact cardio for about 4 hours you can burn that much.

You burn naturally 500 calories a day, Get on a machine it tells you how much you burn, I did 850 an hour once, so 3 hours of running your should be up there.
GOOD LUCK

Purely in terms of excercise, an (LifeFitness) eleptical machine for about 75 mins @ about level 8-9 will burn roughly1500 calories.

You can find your daily calorie requirements:

combination of excercise & reduction in your daily caloric intake will get you to 3700 calories

If you lift weights 4 days per week, and do cardio 4 days per week, and have a fast metabolism, you could probably do 3300, you really can't do enough to get past 3300 calories a day. But you really have to kill yourself to get that much burn.

about three hours of continuous running, like maybe the boston marathon every single day would burn that kind of calorie load. Foolish endeavor.
