are ghosts real? if so, are ghosts the "soul" of dead human beings or some other type of paranormal activity?

So far there is no good scientific or empirical evidence for Ghosts or other phenomema like that. They day these entities are either caught, properly recorded and assessed then they'll have my belief and undivided attention. Lets get some results; not excuses and more questions heaped upon previous questions. The same goes for Bigfoot to trailer park alien abductions.

It's not belief in ghosts as being real or not that's important -- their existence is either a fact or non-fact, true or false. Belief has nothing to do with it.

Chinese, Indian and other cultures all have many stories about ghosts and paranormal activity. A famous book is Strange Tales from Liazhou. Search there and you'll find a lot of wisdom on this matter. Chinese culture, because it's older than Western culture, has developed lots of teachings on this subject that have survived without being purged by Christianity or other organized religions.

I know that ghosts are real; I have encountered spirits. I believe that some were human and I believe that some are demons doing the work of satan. I believe the human ones are here awaiting thier eternity, as the dead in Christ will not rise until His second coming and I assume the dead who are not in Christ will not receive thier thier judgement until then either. The Bible also speaks of devils, I believe these are the spirits or demons working for satan.

Ghosts are as real as you or I. They are the spirits of people that died a tragic death. They stay around because they don't know they are dead. Some of them know it but won't leave this earth until they complete something they feel is left undone. I'm sorry for them and their families, both are suffering.

They are not real and even if they were real we would never know it because the physics of our universe makes it impossible for a ghost-like creature to be able to mess with us unless we can mess with it also. Newton’s third law (equal and opposite force) means that if a ghost pushes on you, then you can push back (and even kick the snot out of it if you want to).

I couldn't tell you what they really are but my theory is that ghosts are demons in this world that are the kind that posess people or try to make people leave their homes by haunting. I won't say that ghosts are fake too much evidence of something being ther exists.

I'm not sure if they're the soul of the dead human being or if they're some kind of energy left behind . . . some say they're demons, but I don't believe that. Whatever they are, they're real. I've seen one. My sister, who passed away, appeared to me as if she were still very alive, three times. I was wide awake and I wasn't on drugs. :)

Yes, there have been confirmed cases of ghosts. They are the spirit of a dead one that can be human or animal (there are many cases of ghosts of dogs returning to see their owners). Normally it is becuase of an incident in their life that hasn't been resolved.
