I suffer from allerigies year round so I am very familiar with them. Someone suggested to me to get humidifier or a dehumidifier and that it would realy help out . I dont remember which one she suggested and Im not sure what the difference is either. Any comments?

I guess it depends on what allergies, but for mold allergies and sinus problems, you would be better off with a dehumidifier, thats what I use.

humidifier adds moisture to the air

dehumidifier removes moisture from the air.

don't know what either would have to do with allergies

a humidifier would help you at night. the moisture it puts in the air attaches to dust and other particles in the air that you breath in all night lone. once it attaches the droplet falls to the ground cleansing the air of the particles

I never heard that.

I know that the proper amount of trace minerals in your body helps

I take trace minerals, and my allergies are almost nothing or sometimes only very little, before taking trace minerals, I always had to take the allergie medicine in the summer.

I doubt either one would really help. You need an air purifier. It removes pollen, mold spores, and dust from the air.
