I'm going to start this by saying I have never used that type of whitener. I have however tried crest white strips.
It went for about two weeks and I followed the directions explicitly. Towards the end of the treatment I started noticing sensitivity in my teeth even when I wasn't using the strips.
I would recommend against it. First of all, regular repeated exposure over an extended time is sure to have greater lasting effects. Second of all, I think that you might oversensitive your teeth, which probably wouldn't be pleasant for you.
The thing to remember is that if you do this right, you shouldn't have to do it again for another year to year and a half. If you don't, you will just have to do it again in six months. I would say take your time. Hope this helps!

I use Aquafresh white trays and they really do work. However, the chemicals that remove stains from teeth are potent. Even if it isn't painful to use just one; using more than one per day really will decrease the enamel on your teeth. Enamel is really important in preventing chips, breakdown and cavities. I have never had a cavity in my life and the first week or so of using those white trays, my teeth would get sore from it. I take that as a strong indicator that although my teeth will be prettier, it isn't necessarily good for them. I however, still use three per week.
It may take a bit longer to see results using one per day, but I promise, you will rather have healthy teeth, then bright white falling apart teeth.

aquafresh recommends that you use them once per day for a period of five days for best results...
they give no information on multiple uses per day, but the recommendation is usually safest

If they are OTC then yes, but your probably not going to get the results your after. You can buy the professional level (30% and higher) on ebay for the same price as the whiteners sold in stores. Just fyi...

NO! Stick to the instructions on the package. If you use it too much it will damage your teeth, weaken your enamel and make them very sensitive to sweets and cold, and hurt when you brush your teeth!

Not if it says once a day on the package. You can damage the surface of your teeth.
