Chocolate has caffeine in it, so you will get that initial high. But, you will crash after awhile.

Very normal, there is a ingredient in chocolate that relaxes. My cousin used to work in a bakery in Europe where he worked a lot with chocolate and he said it would make him feel sleepy being in the working area, creating massive chocolate products around Christmas.

Yeh!

The ingredient in chocolate that makes you sleepy is sugar. Pure and simple.

Sounds a bit like you're going hyper glycemic so get to your doctors for a blood glucose test.

You may or may not be diabetic, but high blood sugar does make you sleepy.

Chocolate doesn't necessarily cause diabetes as long as you eat it in moderation, but obesity which is associated with an overindulgence in all types of food that are bad for us when eaten to excess, and a lack of exercise predisposes you to it.

No point in guessing. Go to your doctor.
