He's mad then. What a jerk. If he really liked you it wouldn't matter whether you had a car or not. Besides, you 'ld be better off without him than getting yourself a car.
He should like you for the good qualities you have, and not because you don't have a car. Relationships will never last if people do not learn to accept each other and expect things off their partner. Love is supposed to be unconditional, regardless of whether you have a car or not. My advice is forget him, move on. It would be materialistic of him to like you for your car and not for you and who you are. What if he finds someone with a expensive better car one day? WHat do you think will happen to you?

When my wife and I got married, I didn't own a car, and we were 300 miles from home. She married me anyway. She said that she wanted me, not a car.
After a couple months of "walking", we finally found a car that we could afford. We bought it, and the first weekend after that, we made a round trip home, to visit relatives. That was 44 years ago, and we are still together.

A car is sometimes a sticking point in younger peoples relationships - it represents mobility and maturity. Kinda odd that it's the guy upset that the female doesn't have the car.

He doesnt want to see you because you dont have a car? What sense does that make? I think its a bunch of crap. He is trying to cover up something.

He does not really like you.
If a guy likes you, he will travel on a bike, boat, car, train to see you.
