Rent movie "The Onion Field"...it's a true story by the way. One of the characters has that problem.
At end of movie think about why the kleptomaniac guy stole stuff.
What advice would you have given him? Do you think he was going to turn out ok or not? What did he seem to do that got him through this difficult time in his life?
OK, now after thinking about the guy in the movie, think about yourself and ask and answer those same questions.
Now with those answers in your head, go directly to therapy and deal with the stuff that got you this way in the first place. Remember that the stealing is a symptom but it's not the illness. Gotta treat the root causes of why you do this or else you'd get rid of one vice (shoplifting) but only pick up another type of impulse disorder (gambling, substance abuse or sexual acting out.)

permit me in simple terms say this. i grew to become into/nonetheless probably am a shoplifter. I have been given arrested December for it in a keep downtown. I had over $4 hundred nicely worth of sources that wasn't mine. i grew to become into handcuffed, arrested, and a few of MY own sources grew to become into taken via the keep too because of the fact something wasn't mine, alongside with a clean wallet, which grew to become into empty, a pair of headphones, and a game and different different issues. in simple terms... stop. it is all i will assert. Getting arrested thoroughly blows, and that i'm nonetheless a minor, so i'm fortunate. I had to pay a $a hundred tremendous on appropriate of having taken care of like crap via the police and having my sources taken from me. you're too on the factor of 18, and you would be prosecuted for this. this is a criminal offense. I desire i might desire to be greater effectual, yet... i for my area can not. i'm no longer a bad toddler, yet I did carry out a little undesirable issues for a whilst there. I have been given greater effective than $3000 nicely worth of merchandise in one month. no longer bragging, yet letting you already know how undesirable i grew to become into too. reliable success.

Contact your local Mental Health center and ask them if they offer a class on Klepto. Dont worry about getting in trouble for going to the class or anything. Its not like cops will be waiting there to arrest all who attend the class. Its a serious problem, one that can land you in prison and give you a record that will haunt you forever.

It seems its something that makes you feel good (gives you a rush), because you always do it. Well you need to stop. Thats the bottom line. To make things easier; I suggest you pick out some other interests. Other things you enjoy to replace it. I really don't want to see you leading into the deadly life of crime. Believe me, it will get worse. Please just stop, for your own good.

usually it takes getting officially booked and charged for the light to trn on. you can try a 12 step program. theyre free, and if youre getting a rush, its just like a drug.

just picture yourself getting in trouble and getting arrested and having to spend hella hours in a small jail cell..Because eventually you will get caught doing it and they will press charges..And Don't do it. Start to pay for your things like everyone else.

id say just keep doing it if your good at it. paying for stuff sucks. since you said they dont really press charges. But i think you might be under 18 thats why. when your over 18 its jail time and a fee so watch out.
