I live in Rhode Island, and just started a new job at a boat yard. How would i go about figuring out how much I would make after all taxes are taken out...?

http://www.Salary.com has very accurate calculators.

When I got a job with a $10K salary increase, I used their calculator. It was on the dollar, even with my 401k contribution!

From every paycheck you have to pay 6.2% social security, 1.45% medicare and then Federal tax, State Tax and state SDI.
If you are Single with no dependant then out of your total yearly income about $8,500 are deductible. On the balance your Federal tax will be about 12% and Rhode Island tax plus SDI will be about 6% (assuming that you are working at near minimum hourly rate).
