...the fact that my car is down, the weather has been too extreme to do anything, my daughter was almost kidnapped up the block at one in the afternoon, and we may be moving within the month?

Would these things cause extra stress/anxiety/depression to one who has been doing very well on medication?

Medication works but the fact that all of these stressful things have been happening interfere with how well it works! I take anti-depressents but my family is very crazy and I still have a lot of "off" moments

OK, take a deeeep breath.... and exhale. Don't work yourself up! Remember this always and forever... You are allowed to have an OFF Day. It is completely normal to have an off day every once in a while. I suffer from depression myself and I can understand the feeling of not being in the know when it comes to foreign feelings. It's the fear that those deep emotional feelings that you've put behind you are reappearing in the presesnt. But no... you're just havin' an off day. SO, what should ya do? Draw a bath with bubbles in it, light some candles, put on some music, relax, and indulge in some good ol' fashion Ben and Jerry's (not reccomended for all the time though, just splurge when times are tuff). This too shall pass girl!

Oh HELL yeah! Those things would stress anyone out! Don't worry, you're not slipping back into depression. If you feel you might need a little boost, try talking to your therapist about xanax. It's a drug that helps calm the nerves. It's not to be used on a day to day basis; just when things (like all those things you're going through right now) get completely overwhelming. Does miracles for me when I feel I can't handle any more.

The meds help abnormal worries, anxiety, and depression. Your'e going thru real stuff! A car broke down is alot, but then your baby nearly bein' taken is catastrophic!!!!!!!!!!And the bad weather can depress even the happiest of people. And...then the stress of moving is another whole ballgame itself! You poor kid, no wonder you feel somewhat "off!". I take meds too, thank goodness, but crap is crap, right? I hope you get your car fixed soon and your move goes smoothly. But most of all, I'm sooooooo glad your daughter is safe. Let us count our blessings.

Oh yeah, abssolutely! I take medication for my depression, but I do have the occasional "off" days, but I have more good days than bad.

Stress lowers your seritonin levels so yes you could be off. Meditate or exersize for a boost.

Of course those things could cause you problems, just keep taking your meds, and remind yourself often that it will pass and things will get better.
