We were led down the path of laziness with all the awesome advances our world has to offer, like delivery pizza. Oh well, I'm thinking this will be coming to an end soon. Looks like the world economies are going to come tumbling down soon.

Why do you need to direct a prayer? Isn't "GOD" everywhere/hear/know everything? I would just sincerly pray and hope. It doesn't need to be directed (although it is fine if it is) to "GOD".

By the way, I really like what you said;

"whats wrong with not only directing our prayers, but making them living prayers by careing for the sick, poor, uneducated, victims of abuse and those who are marginalized by society?"

Nice.

Who are you praying to? And if you don't believe in God, then why pray at all?
Christians are called to be Christ-like, and that means caring for the sick, poor, ect.
